Water Vs Sports Drinks

In the October issue of Choice magazine there is a review of so-called "sports drinks".  Anyone who spends their hard-earned money on these drinks would be well advised to get a hold of this review.

The article confirms what I have always believed.  In case you don't read the nutrition panel on these products (a habit I encourage you to do for all packaged products), you should know many of them contain large amounts of sugar and are effectively no different to drinking soft drink.

Unless you are exercising at an elite level or for extended amounts of time, good old-fashioned water will rehydrate your body very effectively.
